Introduction
Politics is closely intertwined with the lives of human societies and represents the connection between the concepts of state, power, and the art of governance through the governing political system. This interrelated relationship cannot be understood in isolation from one another. Politics is characterized by various scientific branches that derive from it, focusing on codifying and interpreting political phenomena to understand and identify the key factors leading to political stability or the necessity of treaties and other phenomena. Additionally, political science involves a group of scholars whose primary role is to theorize and reflect on the major ideas that politics should achieve for peoples and nations, such as justice, equality, and freedom. Political science also examines the foundations of the political systems governing states and the effects of these systems on various societies when applied, typically constrained to the authority of political governance in a country, through what is known as government, which protects the political system and the rights and interests of the country and its citizens. In essence, the government represents the state in exercising and applying the law and achieving authority.

Moreover, the study of political science includes the examination of international relations, international law, and the sources of international rules that govern relations between different states. The concept of political science varies depending on the methodology or ideas from which the governance system arises and the accompanying ideas that lead the state to monopolize authorities, institutions, and international pressure to achieve specific interests. Among the related concepts in political studies is political culture, defined as the set of beliefs and attitudes held by citizens, which tends to change based on political, economic, and other global variables. Political science emphasizes the importance of affirming values of freedom, suggesting that state sovereignty and authority over individuals should be achieved through persuasion rather than fear and intimidation, with citizens feeling empowered to participate in public and political life.

The trust between citizens and the government depends on the citizens’ feelings about it and its policies that serve their interests and meet their needs. Political science aims to instill the concept of citizenship in individuals through political socialization in various state institutions, such as schools and universities, and engagement in political activities through parties and various media outlets, as well as freedom of expression and other values and concepts that contribute to forming a politically aware citizen who can influence the affairs of his country, thus elevating its status and fulfilling his aspirations for a decent life.
